Immaculate Conception School offers various clubs for our students. These opportunities provide our students with the sense of community and achievement. Each club receives full support of our ICS faculty/staff and is a wonderful way to build friendships, stay healthy and serve others. Clubs either meet before or after school.
Cost: $50
There are a limited number of spaces available and participation will be determined on a first come, first-sign up/paid basis.
Our 3rd and 4th grade students will have a chance to explore famous artists and develop their own style of art using school materials. Art Club will meet with Mrs. Wagner on Tuesday afternoons from 3:00 - 4:00pm beginning the week of September 29th.

Students from grades 3-8 with an understanding of the rules of chess and how to move the pieces are invited to join.
Our Chess team will meet with Mr. Dewelde on Tuesday afternoons from 3:00 - 4:00pm. Chess Team will begin the week of September 29th.

More about Mr. Dewelde:
Mr. Dewelde learned the game of chess at a young age, and has been playing competitively since high school. He was one of the top 5 Players in the New Jersey his senior year. He has coached the chess team at his alma mater (St. Joseph HS in Metuchen) since 2010. He has also coached the team at St. Matthias Elementary School (Somerset). He lives in Hillsborough with his wife Christine, his daughter Reagan and son Ethan. Both Reagan and Ethan are students at ICS.
The STEM Club invites students in grades 5-8 to dive into exciting weekly challenges that involve planning, building, and problem-solving. With a focus on basic engineering principles, students will work hands-on to design creative solutions while developing teamwork and interpersonal skills. This club aims to foster critical thinking and encourage students to tackle challenges with curiosity and confidence. STEM Club will meet with Ms. Derbyshire on Tuesday afternoons from 3:00 - 4:00pm beginning the week of September 29th.

As members of the Yearbook Club, 8th grade students will be tasked with taking pictures at
school events and organizing them in a way that best fits the book layout. Editors
will delegate individuals to complete different sections of the yearbook.
